Goodman Group (GG) is part of the Goodman School of Business at Brock University. GG offers Executive Development programs for the Brock, Niagara and broader community, providing them with direct access to a full range of learning and development services offered by the faculty, industry leaders, staff and students. GG focuses on building capacity through partnerships, serving the 21st century learner by providing unique educational experiences, real-world learning and hands-on learning opportunities.
About the Role
The GG Ambassador will be a critical member of the team and is responsible for assisting with generating awareness of GG at Brock, Niagara and the broader community. The Ambassador will work both independently and as a team player to promote GG and assist with marketing activities by using appropriate channels. The main responsibilities include researching and advising on marketing strategies for promoting executive development programs, implementing the outreach and communications strategy maintaining, updating the website, writing blogs and news articles, creating the monthly newsletter, creating marketing materials (brochures, videos, social media posts, etc.), reporting on outreach activities and assisting with project coordination and project delivery.
Reporting to the Manager, Professional and Executive Development, the Ambassador will also provide support in planning and executing events, training seminars and assisting the GG team with other duties that may arise. The Ambassador will interact with the team members both, in person and remotely.
Part-time position available from the first week of February until August 2026 (with the possibility of extension).
Job Qualifications
· Demonstrated interest in marketing through coursework or relevant experience
· Proficient in using social media platforms for marketing purposes
· Skilled in creating engaging and visually appealing content for social media and email campaigns
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· Understanding of marketing analytics to assess campaign performance
· Excellent customer service and public presentation skills
· Strong technical and multimedia abilities
· Basic project management skills considered an asset
· Proven initiative, time management, and organizational skills
· Ability to meet deadlines and perform well under pressure
· Collaborative team player who can also work independently
· Creative, resourceful, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
· Experience with Google Analytics, SEO, video creation/editing, or WordPress considered an asset
· Reliable, self-driven and motivated by achieving goals, both individually and as part of a team, with a commitment to excellence in execution
Compensation
$17.60 per hour
