The Program Manager Strategic Vertical Start-Up is responsible for Global Operations Strategic Projects and tasked with creating and flawlessly executing a comprehensive integrated plan for the cross-functional team across the company, utilizing the "VSU" vertical start-up methodology in their assigned projects. With support from project members across various functions, this position will play a crucial role in reducing financial risks, minimizing overall operational impacts, and ensuring a smooth transition to Production while respecting gate processes defined and maintaining project sustainability over time.

• Develop and lead integrated start-up plans for strategic projects.
• Coordinate cross-functional dependencies and ensure key commitments are met.
• Identify and mitigate risks early in the project phases.
• Deploy the GSUM+ methodology for new change initiatives.
• Ensure a smooth transition between planning, establishment, and production phases.
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals.
• Integrate technical inputs such as engineering schedules and resource availability.
• Build internal capabilities related to the GSUM+ methodology through targeted training plans.
• Guide teams in managing operational change.
• Comply with good manufacturing practices and quality standards.
• Apply safety protocols and intervene in case of risky behaviors.
• Report and correct safety hazards.
• Actively support the organization’s safety policies and programs.

 

What you need to join our team:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in strategic project management.
• 5 years of experience in the dairy industry (an asset).
• Green Belt or strong knowledge of Lean principles.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent knowledge of project and risk management principles.
• Ability to design and implement training plans.
• Advanced skills in mathematics and statistical analysis.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
