Role Description
- Third Party Management (TPM), part of Deutsche Bank’s Global Procurement function, is responsible for the processes that manage risks related to the engagement of third-party vendors and outsourcing. TPM has been through a large-scale transformation program to change the approach, process and technology used for the vendor risk management process.
- This senior manager role is responsible for driving the strategic execution of transformation initiatives across Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) and Operational Resilience, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations from the PRA, FCA, EBA, and DORA. The role will drive cross-functional delivery, embed resilience into business operations, and oversee the successful implementation of strategic programs that enhance risk posture and regulatory compliance.

Your key responsibilities
- Strategic Programme Delivery: Lead the execution of the strategic roadmap for TPRM and Operational Resilience, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements from PRA, FCA, EBA, and DORA
- Risk Expertise & Frameworks: Apply deep knowledge of TPRM frameworks, including control assessments, risk concentration, and lifecycle management, to guide solution design and execution
- Risk & Resilience Integration: Ensure strategic alignment between third-party risk, operational resilience, supply chain intelligence strategy and enterprise risk management frameworks.
- Regulatory Remediation Activities: Drive remediation efforts for regulatory gaps, including uplift of contractual terms, ICT service identification, register remediation, and alignment with Critical and Important Functions (CIFs)
- Execution Oversight: Lead cross-functional teams, ensuring timely delivery of milestones, KPIs, and business outcomes.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a senior point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership, and third-party partners.
- Change Enablement: Lead organisational change initiatives to embed resilience and third-party risk awareness across business units, leveraging agile and hybrid delivery models
- Governance & Reporting: Establish and manage programme governance structures and executive reporting mechanisms.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for automation, process optimisation, and technology enablement using tools such as Power Apps, Copilot, and AI-driven analytics to enhance delivery efficiency and resilience capabilities.
Your skills and experience
Essential Skills
- 15+ years in financial services, with at least last 5 years in senior risk, resilience, or transformation roles.
- Deep expertise in Third Party Risk Management, including due diligence, control assessments, monitoring, and exit strategies.
- Strong understanding of Operational Resilience principles and regulatory frameworks (PRA SS2/21, FCA PS21/3, EBA Guidelines, DORA).
- Proven track record in leading large-scale transformation programmes within financial services, with a focus on third party risk and resilience.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Strong governance capabilities, including oversight of risk reporting, performance metrics, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience influencing senior executives and navigating complex organisational environments.
- Skilled in leading cross-functional teams and fostering collaboration across the three lines of defence.
Preferred Experience
- Hands-on experience with contract remediation and ICT Register of Information reporting in line with DORA and other regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with enterprise process modelling, supply chain risk, and CIF identification and management.
- Experience with agile delivery models and structured change enablement strategies.
- Background in risk analytics, supply chain technologies and technology transformation.
- Agile mindset with the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Proficiency in:
- Power Apps for workflow automation and data capture.
- Microsoft Copilot for enhanced productivity, reporting, and documentation.
- AI tools for supplier risk monitoring, predictive analytics, and intelligent automation in TPRM processes.
- Power BI or similar tools for dashboarding and performance tracking.
