Sterile Processing Technician - FT - Days - MHW Same Day Surgery Center

Summary:

Receives, cleans, sterilizes and stores surgical instruments and equipment.
*** 5 days per week; no weekends at this time ***
SPD experience preferred

Responsibilities:

Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments.Continually accounts for number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery.Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.Assists in decontamination, preparation and sterilization of instruments in sterile processing.Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory.Passes instruments to physician during surgery.Assists nurse with patient care.Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies.

Additional Job Information:

Other Information: Successful completion of a recognized training program in Central Sterile Processing preferred.
