Votre mission, si vous l'acceptez :

Une offre de stage intitulée « Conception pour Assemblage (h/f) » vient de s'ouvrir au sein de Airbus Avions Commerciaux sur son site de Toulouse Saint Martin. Vous rejoindrez le département « Airframe Architecture (1ACAT) » en charge des futurs développements de cellules d'avion.

Ce stage, d'une durée de 6 mois, débutera idéalement en Janvier 2026 (cette période est indicative et pourra être ajustée)

Vos principales missions consisteront à :

• Développer la méthodologie permettant d'évaluer la valeur de la « conception pour l'assemblage » (design for assembly) d'une solution architecturale.

• Étendre la méthodologie existante (pour le nez et le fuselage typique) au fuselage central et potentiellement à d'autres zones de la cellule.

• Collaborer avec l'Ingénierie de la Cellule et l'Ingénierie Industrielle pour développer un produit physique en harmonie avec son système industriel.

• Définir le système de notation des solutions d'assemblage pour évaluer leur adéquation.

• Définir l'architecture de l'avion pour garantir un processus d'assemblage efficace.

Votre tuteur ou tutrice vous accompagnera tout au long de votre stage, vous aidant à développer vos compétences et à atteindre vos objectifs professionnels.

Ce stage vous permettra notamment de développer les compétences suivantes :

• Capacité à collaborer avec différents domaines de l'industrie (Architecture de la Cellule, Architecture Avion, Ingénierie de Fabrication, etc.).

• Capacité à travailler dans un environnement international.Compréhension du processus d'assemblage d'un avion et de son optimisation.

Votre carte d’embarquement pour cette aventure :

Vous êtes actuellement en Master 2 (niveau Bac+5) en Ingénierie Aérospatiale ou Aéronautique ou un domaine équivalent.

Your mission :

An internship opportunity titled : «Conceptual Design For Assembly (m/f) » has just opened at Airbus Commercial Aircrafts located in Toulouse Saint Martin. You

will join the Airframe Architecture department (1ACAT) in charge of future airframe developments.

Your internship will consist in: Conceptual Design for Assembly

Ideally, this is a 6 months internship and it should start in January 2026 (date subject to flexibility).

Your main missions will consist of :

• development of the methodology to assess the value "design for assembly" of a technical architectural solution. In other words, how good a technical solution is in order to be easily assembled by the industrial system.

• The methodology has already been fully developed for the nose and typical fuselage and your task will be to extend it to the center fuselage and eventually other airframe areas.

• The final target is to be able to assess the whole assembly process of an aircraft having the visibility and the details of the assembly of each component.

• Collaborate with Airframe Engineering and Industrial Engineering in a spirit of co-design to develop a physical product in harmony with its industrial system.

• Define the scoring system associated with different assembly solutions which will be used to assess how much a technical solution is "fit for assembly". 

• Define the architecture of the physical aircraft to ensure an efficient assembly process. 

The master thesis is addressing only the airframe perimeter for the moment but further studies can be done to explore cabin and system installation at a later stage.

Your tutor will support you identify your professional objectives and develop your skills

This internship will allow you to develop the following skills:

● Capability to collaborate with different domains of an industry (Airframe Architecture, Aircraft Architecture, Industrial Architecture, Manufacturing Engineering).  

● Capability to work in an international environment. 

● Understanding of the aircraft assembly process and how to optimize it.

Your Boarding Pass:

You are preparing a diploma level Bac+5 in Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering (5 years Master Degree).
