We're building the next generation of admin tools that power these experiences. Our Genesys Cloud Admin UI and Knowledge Portal Client applications are critical tools used by customers worldwide to configure, deploy, and manage web messaging solutions that engage millions of end-users daily. 

As we continue to expand our product portfolio, we’re looking for a Staff Software Engineer who’s passionate about crafting exceptional front-end experiences with Angular and who also brings (or wants to expand) skills in modern serverless backends. 

We are seeking a software engineer with strong programming skills.  Working in a highly collaborative and agile environment. Genesys Software Engineers think through implementation details of scalability, security and usability. 

About the Role 

We’re building the future of our Admin UI for Messenger and Knowledge Portal Client applications, high-impact tools used by customers around the world and built on top of public web deployment APIs. 

The Impact: 

  • This web application is used by enterprise customers worldwide to configure and deploy web messaging solutions 

  • You'll work on features that directly impact customer engagement experiences across millions of web interactions 

  • The codebase handles complex configuration management with versioning, draft/publish workflows, and multi-domain deployments 

  • Performance and reliability are critical as this is an admin tool used by customer service teams daily 

As a Staff Software Engineer (Frontend focus), you’ll lead the technical direction of our Angular-based applications, shaping architecture, performance, and developer experience. While your core expertise will be in Angular, TypeScript, and modern web frameworks, experience with serverless backend development (AWS Lambda, Node.js) is a big plus. 

You’ll drive design excellence, mentor other engineers, and collaborate closely with UX and product teams to deliver polished, high-performing experiences. 

What You’ll Do 

  • Lead architecture decisions for a large-scale Angular SPA 

  • Design and implement complex form workflows (multi-step wizards, configuration management) 

  • Build modern, scalable UIs using Angular, TypeScript , RxJS , and Angular Material 

  • Drive front-end best practices for performance, modularity, and maintainability 

  • Integrate with RESTful APIs handling configuration, deployments, and knowledge management 

  • Collaborate across teams to integrate with APIs and backend services 

  • Establish robust testing strategies using Playwright and Selenium

  • Establish and maintain code quality standards, review processes, and architectural guidelines 

  • Drive adoption of best practices: dependency injection, service patterns, and testability 

  • Refactor legacy code while maintaining backward compatibility 

  • Mentor engineers and influence front-end standards across the organization 

  • Contribute to end-to-end development using AWS Lambda, API Gateway V2, and Node.js (as a plus). 

Required skillsets (Must-Have) 

  • Deep expertise in Angular 15, TypeScript 4, and RxJS 6. 

  • Expertise in Angular LTS (Long Term Support) version. 

  • Experience with Angular Material v15 and component-driven UI design. 

  • Familiarity with Genesys Spark v4 and Iframe-coordinator v6 (nice to have). 

  • Strong testing background: Jasmine, Karma, and Playwright. 

  • Backend / Full stack (Bonus) 

  • Experience with Node.js and TypeScript backend development. 

  • Familiarity with AWS Lambda and API Gateway V2. 

  • Understanding serverless patterns and CI/CD workflows. 

 

What You Bring 

  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with 3+ years in a staff-level or technical leadership role. 

  • Deep expertise in Angular (v15+ and LTS) with proven experience in large-scale SPAs 

  • Strong TypeScript skills  

  • Expertise in RxJS patterns: observables, operators, BehaviorSubjects, and reactive programming 

  • Strong testing mindset: unit, integration, and E2E testing strategies 

  • Proven expertise in modern front-end architecture and frameworks. 

  • Strong problem-solving and design skills with a focus on performance and scalability. 

  • Ability to mentor, lead, and elevate the front-end craft across teams. 

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills. 

  • Bonus: Experience with internationalization (i18n) and accessibility (WCAG) standards
