The Digital Healthcare Biosensors group in Analog Devices is developing a portfolio of sensor platforms that will enable a new business franchise for ADI. Current projects include developments in Liquid Sensing technologies for Acute Care & Surgery along with Imaging Systems for Surgical and Diagnostics.

The Biosensor team requires an energetic and highly motivated individual with strong combination of customer engagement experience, hardware systems knowledge, excellent communication, and a willingness to work in a dynamic environment with teams across multiple sites to build out the technology portfolio into a new and successful business for ADI.

Position Overview:

Candidate will provide direct technical support for Biosensors customers working closely with the development team whilst being the “voice of customer”. They will mature “reader” architectures for Biosensors inline fluidic sensors. The job requires strong technical communication skills along with  solid analog and digital systems design with commensurate laboratory skills. Additional job responsibilities include writing circuit documentation and application notes.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining technical relationships with LEAD Biosensors customers.
  • Communicate technical information relative to Biosensors systems to the development team ensuring customers requirements are understood and designed for.
  • Work on “reader” systems for our fluidics cartridges with precision measurement, electro-mechanical, power management, communications, isolation requirements.
  • Perform physical evaluation, characterization, and debugging, of signal chains and electro-mechanics working with multifunctional teams to identify, simulate and correct functional and parametric problems.
  • Work closely with characterization teams to ensure reader works to requirements with sensors.
  • Work closely with firmware team - debugging code on hardware/simulators
  • Be a key contributor in project team meetings.
  • Deep engagements with development team to drive proof of concepts.
  • Provide direct customer support for design-in activity.
  • Knowledge of Analog Devices’ broader product offering and future developments

Qualifications & Requirements.

  • Minimum BSEE + 6 years of experience.
  • Experience with customer engagement / technical support.
  • Hands-on experience with schematic development and/or optical/mechanical developments.
  • C/C++ and Arm microcontroller experience.
  • Track record in system analysis, design, debug and evaluation.
  • Assembly programming skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Experience in precision low power and/or electrochemistry is an advantage.
  • Optical diagnostics experience would be an advantage
