The Staff Accountant is responsible for the administration of various corporate financial, job cost, and general accounting functions under the direction of the Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate is proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.) and has strong mathematical and analytical skills  Previous experience working with an ERP is a plus. The candidate will need to have the skills to be a critical thinker who can prioritize time and tasks to meet deadlines, has strong integrity, is organized, pays attention to detail and works well independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills and willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities is a must.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is preferred

Experience: 1 – 3 years of Accounting preferred, but not required.

Travel: 5-10%

Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. Overtime may be required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains fixed assets along with creating monthly depreciation entries.
  • Prepares monthly journal entries.
  • Reconciles asset/liability general ledger accounts.
  • Reconciles contributions related to the 401K Plan.
  • Monitors and creates reoccurring journal entries.
  • Daily posts management burden to jobs and monthly data entry of MB costs.
  • Enters miscellaneous job costs.
  • Posts various flat job costs (cell phone, computer, vehicles, online billing fees, and PO's).
  • Continuous process improvement of current duties.
  • Assists with inventory processing.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
