About the Role:

As Senior Tax Manager in GTBS you will be responsible for Global Task Risk Management for Gartner’s commercial operations in APAC jurisdictions. A successful candidate for this role will embrace a mindset of continuous growth and improvement through leveraging best-in-class processes to achieve their objectives. What you’ll do:

  • Facilitating and managing all forms of tax audits and inquiries for India and the wider APAC region.
  • Collaborating with members of GTBS and the wider organization to collect and manage the relevant information for tax audits.
  • Managing relationships with external advisors and government auditors to support the scope and direction of the audit.
  • Supporting and managing the flow of information to external advisors and government auditors.
  • Assisting with the Global Tax Risk Management strategy.
  • Conducting research and providing detailed analysis of Global Tax legislative changes impacting Gartner.
  • Partnering with local country Finance and Commercial teams to assist with operational tax queries.
  • Advising the Gartner business on withholding tax obligations.
  • Reviewing client and vendor contracts as needed from a tax perspective.
  • Assisting in any other assigned special tax projects.

What you’ll need:

  • Registered Chartered Accountant (CA) Chartered Tax Consultant (CTA)
  • Min 8+ years of PQE in a corporate tax team in a large accounting/legal firm or a multinational company.
  • Experience in dealing with the audit defense process, dealing with foreign tax authorities, managing outside counsel; and experience with negotiation and execution of audit settlement.
