We’re seeking a Senior Strategic Account Executive, Direct Sales – European Lead to join our Real World Data sales team, focused on MarketScan solutions. In this senior role, you’ll lead commercial relationships with life sciences clients across Europe, uncover new use cases, and expand the adoption of MarketScan data. You’ll navigate complex stakeholder environments and deliver strategic value through data-driven partnerships. How you will contribute:
Own and expand strategic commercial relationships with Real World clients across Europe and ROW, often spanning multiple research teams, business units, and geographies, with a focus on long-term partnership development.
Navigate and influence complex, multi-country account environments to uncover new use cases, drive adoption, and expand the footprint of MarketScan data licenses and services across diverse healthcare systems.
Develop and lead multi-year expansion roadmaps that align MarketScan’s offerings with evolving customer needs, including strategic areas like pricing, market access, and health economics.
Build and deepen relationships with executive, scientific, and operational stakeholders across European markets to drive renewals, upsells, and strategic alignment with regional healthcare priorities.
Partner with cross-functional teams, including CSMs, delivery, and product, to ensure seamless data access, integration, and support that meet client expectations and enable scalable growth across regions.
Identify and capitalize on whitespace opportunities within existing accounts or new accounts by analyzing usage trends, business shifts, and stakeholder feedback, and translating insights into actionable growth strategies.
Stay ahead of European industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities, providing clients with strategic guidance and positioning MarketScan as a trusted thought partner.
About You
What you will bring:
Minimum of 12 years of related experience in account management, business development, or client engagement, preferably within Real World Data (RWD), healthcare data, or life sciences with a bachelor’s degree.
Ability to effectively position MarketScan solutions to address client needs in clinical development, market access, pricing strategy, and evidence generation.
Demonstrated capacity to identify business gaps and align data-driven solutions to evolving customer needs across multiple business units.
Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder client relationships, including executive, scientific, and operational stakeholders.
Proven track record in strategic account management, including owning commercial relationships, driving renewals, and leading upsell initiatives.
Success in expanding solution adoption across business units by identifying new use cases and whitespace opportunities.
Strong ability to communicate and articulate value propositions to senior decision-makers, with confident executive presence and influencing skills.
Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Customer Success, Delivery, and Technical teams to ensure client satisfaction and solution impact.
Familiarity with market dynamics, pricing strategy, and competitive landscapes within healthcare data or analytics environments.
