As a Senior Automation & V&V Engineer, you will lead the automation and verification & validation efforts for a high-performing software engineering team. You will be responsible for designing and implementing robust test automation frameworks, ensuring traceability from requirements to test results, and driving quality across cloud-native applications built on AWS using Python. Job Description
Technical Expertise:
- Lead the design and implementation of automation frameworks using tools like Selenium, Cucumber, Playwright, and others.
- Develop and maintain automated test suites for functional, performance, load, reliability, and NFR testing.
- Perform traceability analysis from requirements to test plans and test results, ensuring complete coverage and compliance.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Own the V&V strategy and execution, including test planning, execution, defect tracking, and reporting.
- Work extensively with AWS native services and Python to build scalable and maintainable test infrastructure.
- Ensure software quality through rigorous testing and validation practices across microservices and APIs.
- Drive continuous improvement in test coverage, test effectiveness, and automation maturity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with a minimum of 6+ years of experience in software development and test automation.
- Expertise in AWS and Python.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools and frameworks: Selenium, Cucumber, Playwright, etc.
- Experience in performance, load, reliability, and NFR testing.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD tools, and cloud-native development.
- Proven ability to perform traceability analysis and manage test documentation.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Desired Skills:
- AWS certification is a plus.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in automation and V&V.
