Sr. SME SAP FICO, S4 HANA, Group Reporting

Job Description

This role is for a highly experienced SAP Professional with deep expertise in SAP ECC FICO, S/4HANA, Q2C processes, RAR, Intercompany, dealing with establishing New Business Models, and S/4 Group Reporting. The candidate will lead the design and delivery of complex finance transformation programs, translating strategic business goals into structured, scalable SAP solutions. The role requires a blend of technical mastery, business acumen, and project and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end design, work on detailed configuration, create to-be process flows and implement, with Agilent IT and implementation partners, complex projects and programs in SAP ECC FICO and S/4HANA Finance, RAR, Intercompany modules, including Group Reporting.

  • Translate broad business strategies, programs, projects into structured SAP business process flows.

  • Serve as the functional/technical lead and Finance business process lead for finance-related SAP initiatives, from Finance perspective, partnering with Agilent IT and implementation partners.

  • Be key compliance driver to lead and establish successful New Business Models from Finance perspective, leading all sub-functions of Finance (local regulations, SOX, Compliance, RAR, IC etc.), with Tax and cross-functional teams.

  • Experience in working on enterprise level projects as a Finance lead, being FICO functional lead for programs like M&A integrations, Transformation initiatives, etc. as an SME to lead and implement Q2C processes, track lead and program management.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand & gather requirements, prototype solution designs, for seamless integration across modules (FI, CO, MM, SD, PS), from Finance perspective.

  • Be the leader that liaises with IT to represent all Finance stakeholders and Finance and compliance requirements (including Finance Operations, Tax, Global Trade, FP&A etc.)

  • Drive data migrationcutover planning, and system testing for ECC to S/4 transitions.

  • Be the lead for Group Reporting and transitioning from legacy system (highly preferred, Oracle EPM) to S4 HANA Group Reporting. Develop and implement best strategies for transition for a successful Finance Transformation from Oracle EPM to S4 Group Reporting.

  • Be the lead for Group Reporting’s integration with S/4 HANA, Universal Journal, SAP Fiori Apps., and SAP Analytics Cloud.

  • Solve complex system and process design issues, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.

  • Mentor junior teammates, lead project teams through delivery and project lifecycle.

  • Be a role model for their peers and practice strong Agilent Values.

  • Engage with senior stakeholders to align on priorities, and build SAP solutions with business objectives, strategies and KPIs.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in SAP Finance (ECC and S/4HANA).

  • SAP certifications in S/4HANA Finance and Group Reporting preferred.

  • Proven experience in SAP FICO, RAR, Intercompany, M&A integrations, Q2C processes, S4 HANA and Group Reporting, SAP Analytics Cloud.

  • Strong understanding of E2E business processes across Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, and Order-to-Cash.

  • Demonstrated experience in leading global implementations and managing multi-geo teams.

Skills & Competencies

  • Deep functional and technical knowledge of SAP ECC and S/4HANA, in areas mentioned above.

  • Proven working experience in Group Reporting and transitioning from legacy system (highly preferred Oracle EPM) to S4 HANA Group Reporting.

  • In depth experience in Group Reporting, including Consolidation Process Knowledge, (Understanding of legal and management consolidation, including intercompany eliminations, currency translation, etc. ). Data Models, Data Monitor, Consolidation Monitor, and ownership tasks.

  • Strong skills in interpreting financial data and troubleshooting consolidation issues

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize complex workflows.

  • Experience leading S4 HANA implementations, upgrades, especially in Group Reporting, and finance transformation contexts

  • Excellent communication, project management and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience with third-party integrations preferred.

  • Familiarity with SAP security, WRICEF development, and testing frameworks.

The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $143,760.00 - $224,625.00/yr USD in the US, or $134,080.00 - $219,975.00/yr CAD in Canada, plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
