Provide support to the CTI Investments team in the U.S. and UK. Gain experience of macro-economic research, asset allocation, investment portfolio construction, to meet and/or exceed agreed activity targets. Assist in the work-flow management and database management. Examine and interpret data from different sources and understand the impact this will have for investment decision making.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Analytics :
Support the Global Asset Allocation team (primarily in the U.S.) by providing analytical, quantitative, and technical support for the team
Develop and maintain regular client-presentations which showcase the team’s investment ideas across the asset-class and geographies
Gather and analyze large datasets needed to support portfolio decisions – which assets (equities, fixed-income, etc.) to invest in under which geography
Do thematic/macro research on investment ideas and develop deep understanding of global economic databases
Prepare regular and ad hoc reporting materials for external clients, internal partners and institutional marketing requests
Work closely on economic analysis, data sharing, news analysis with teams based in multiple locations
Translate analytic output into understandable and actionable business knowledge
Relationship Management:
Engage US counterparts to ensure solutions are appropriate as per business requirement
Coordinate and prioritize business needs in a matrix management environment
Documentation and communication of results and recommendations to external and internal teams
Ensuring maintenance of requisite quality standards
Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance/Economics/Engineering or any related fields and/or MBA (Finance)/Master’s in Economics and/or pursuing CFA with 3-5 years of relevant experience
Understanding of macro-economic indicators with an interest in international economics, finance and politics
Knowledge of fixed income markets and investment concepts
Proficient at gathering relevant data from BlackRock Solutions, Macrobond, Bloomberg, or other investment systems
Strong quantitative/analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Highly motivated self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively on multiple projects under tight deadlines
Preferred QualificationsMBA (Finance)/Master’s in Economics and/or pursuing CFA
