This is a non-union positionIn this role, you will oversee the design for projects delivered by third party engineering firms to ensure they are following Company and Industry standards and specifications and managed to the project scope, budget, and schedule. You will also, collaborate with other Enbridge internal functional groups within Project Execution, Operations and Shared Services to ensure project and company requirements are achieved and incorporated into the design results.

What you will do:
Takes ownership for and oversees the engineering project scope, schedule, capital cost estimate, execution planning, risks and supporting information related to assigned projects from project development through closeout.
Ensures that all assigned projects are designed fit for purpose and in accordance with all regulations, environmental, health and safety, applicable industry codes and corporate standards.
Manages, reviews, and approves the execution of the design deliverables by a third-party engineering firm e.g. drawings, technical reports and material listing sheets against the project budget and schedule.
Reviews vendor materials quotations, evaluates technical bids and recommends selections based on technical merit along with price and delivery. Collaborates with Supply Chain to procure material via internal tools.
Provides technical guidance to others on the team based upon technical expertise and recommends opportunities for improvement via lessons learned, technical standard change requests, engineering management plans, contractor evaluations, etc.
Who you are:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a recognized university, Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering degree is preferred.
Professional Engineering designation with APEGA is required for Canada and PE for the US locations.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in engineering and project management.
General understanding of pipeline and terminal operations.
Predict obstacles, challenges, and risks to proactively determine mitigation strategies and innovative solutions to problems.
Effective and professional interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, with peers, management, internal/external partners, vendors and service providers.
Role requires a valid driver’s license, which will be verified with a motor vehicle check prior to hire.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:
Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Summary for US Based:
Salary - $94,300 - $150,000/year USD
