POSITION SUMMARY:The Senior Product Manager has the primary responsibility of generating & refining new Product ideas and evaluating the performance of existing Products in market. The Senior Product Manager accomplishes this by communicating and collaborating with business stakeholders to identify what new products & product enhancements should be built. The ideal candidate will ensure that maximum business value is consistently reflected in a well-maintained feature backlog that reflects prioritization based on the key business drivers and that products in-market are healthy and continuing to deliver the expected value when evaluated against investment. The Senior Product Manager is able to work independently with limited managerial support and provides training and mentorship to less experience team membersESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:Collaboration & Communication - 70%•Collaborates with business stakeholders to gather/refine requests and provides updates on project/product health•Evaluates solution options and defends position of personal recommendations that drive the greatest business value•Presents ideas and communicates progress to executive leadership•Provides training and mentorship to less experienced team members•Demonstrates initiative to identify new opportunities within new or existing product linesValidation & Confirmation - 30%•Validates project deliverables to ensure expected benefit is being demonstrated•Captures and distills voice of customer feedback•Establishes standards and templates for other team members to useSECONDARY FUNCTIONS (IF APPLICABLE)•Produces workflows, wireframes, and performs business process design documents•Defines and monitors Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)•Supports the development of training content. SUPERVISORY/BUDGETARY/EXTERNAL COMMUNICATION RESPONSIBILITY•N/AQUALIFICATIONS – EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS•A Business, Computer Science, or MIS college or university degree is required•An Agile related certification is desired•5-10 years’ experience immersed in the full product lifecycle in an Agile environment
