Northrop Grumman Space Systems—Missile Defense Integration offers an excellent opportunity for a Sr Principal Engineer Systems Test – JEMINI System Tester (25-244) to join our team of talented and diverse professionals. Located at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO, this position plays a critical role in supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels.
This position does not provide relocation assistance and requires on-site work with no remote options.
Position Overview:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is an essential part of the Missile Defense System. It provides a critical operational platform that enables the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and tactical levels to systematically plan missile defense operations, monitor battle progress, and actively control networked sensors and weapon systems to achieve global and regional mission goals. C2BMC offers a layered missile defense capability, delivering an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It functions as a force multiplier by connecting, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations both worldwide and locally to improve overall performance. Additionally, C2BMC is a key component of all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the missile defense system's current and future capabilities.
C2BMC Global urgently needs a Test Analyst to help organize and perform Flight and Ground Tests. GAITS CFPT seeks a highly motivated and skilled individual to join its team and assist in evaluating the success of these tests. The role involves identifying required resources, understanding mission objectives for the systems under test, developing data archival and analysis plans, and creating post-mission reports. The candidate should have experience with various event board approval structures, including MDIOC and BMDSS support processes, the MDA/BC approval chain, and National Team engineering boards (PERB, CEAT). They should also have experience operating the C2BMC, knowledge of system configuration, familiarity with system operations, ability to navigate display screens, and understanding of system concepts. The candidate will be responsible for managing the configuration and control of test resources, articles, and tools used for data collection during tests. They will serve as the I&T liaison to other C2BMC test participants and MDA/BCT test managers. The Test Director will coordinate with the project leads for various tests to ensure the smooth execution of events across the entire I&T mission. They will develop and maintain the test architecture, including all test articles, and create additional procedures as needed to ensure successful execution.
On-site Full-time: This position requires work at a designated Lockheed Martin facility, following a 4X10 schedule—four 10-hour days with three days off each week. These condensed schedules provide employees with extra time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time Off benefits.
