Job Summary

The Sr. Manager, Supply Chain Planning COE – Business User Expert (BUE) plays a pivotal role in leading cross-functional planning initiatives and driving best-in-class capabilities across the organization. This role acts as a strategic project manager and change agent, ensuring that planning systems and processes are aligned with evolving business needs.
As a liaison between planning teams and technology platforms, the BUE is responsible for managing system implementations, enhancements, and daily operations of advanced planning tools. By empowering planners with optimized systems and actionable insights, this role enables teams to execute with precision and agility.

Responsible for ensuring end user readiness to integrate and adopt new technology and supporting processes into daily operations. Conducts on-site process analysis and deployment support in the areas of marketing readiness, user acceptance testing and live trial. Develops financial and operational objectives. Ensures operational plans are aligned with business objectives. Contributes to functional strategy development. Has a greater degree of impact on business results and typically manages one or more groups of professional employees.

Job Description

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and collaborative leader with deep expertise in supply chain planning, strong analytical acumen, and hands-on experience with enterprise planning platforms. They combine functional knowledge with systems fluency to drive continuous improvement, champion user adoption, and ensure data integrity.

This role also fosters a culture of empowerment and accountability, equipping planning teams with the tools, training, and support needed to make informed decisions and deliver measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities

System & Platform Support

  • Function as the primary business contact for planning system functionality, performance, and user experience.
  • Partner with technical teams and business stakeholders to develop business. requirements and solutions, test, and implement scalable o9 solutions that support demand, supply, and inventory planning.
  • Partner with various systems teams (internal and external) to troubleshoot issues, test enhancements, and validate system changes.
  • Lead and support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) for new features, upgrades, and integrations.
  • Maintain system documentation, training materials, and user guides.

User Enablement & Training

  • Provide onboarding and ongoing training to planners and other business users to ensure effective adoption of planning tools and processes.
  • Develop, maintain, and deliver user documentation, training sessions, workshops, and quick-reference guides.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for planning systems and tools.

Process & Data Governance

  • Ensure planning processes are consistently and accurately reflected in system configurations.
  • Collaborate with data governance teams to maintain master data quality and integrity.
  • Monitor and report on system usage, performance, data accuracy, and compliance with business rules to identify gaps and opportunities.
  • Benchmark internal practices against industry standards and emerging trends.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance planning workflows, efficiency, accuracy, and agility through system enhancements or automation.
  • Gather feedback from users to inform system development and process optimization.
  • Participate and/or lead cross-functional projects to align planning systems with broader business strategies.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with planners, supply chain teams, IT, and other business units to align system capabilities with operational needs.
  • Lead change management efforts to support new system implementations and process changes.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications for system development.
  • Facilitate communication between technical teams and end users.

Core Responsibilities

  • Oversees the implementation of deployment readiness program for regional rollouts, including communications, UAT and training support for call centers.
  • Defines quality gates to ensure market readiness is in line with deployment milestones.
  • Develops and defines methods and procedures for end users to address deploying technology and operational process changes. Ensures operational plans are in line with business objectives.
  • Reviews and updates Training Strategy to meet region specific needs.
  • Defines a training plan to ensure business continuity.
  • Reviews UAT testing strategy and updates to meet regional differences.
  • Supports UAT readiness through the management of the market Readiness checklist. Creates UAT test plan, test cases and scripts.
  • Manages testing environment requests to include test accounts and required test data. Provides centralized defect management for on-site UAT and live trials, maintains the defect and issues log and conducts daily defect reviews.
  • Prepares and communicates daily testing status and defect reports. Manages daily testing status and defect tracking.
  • Initiates metrics baseline and ongoing collection process in region. Escalates project issues and risks as appropriate.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
