- As the Senior Manager of Software Engineering – Digital/Marketing Platforms, you will plan, manage, and allocate IT resources and coordinate interactions with clients. You will will work within development and operations of the QVC global Digital Purchase/Service/Customer and Marketing IT Platforms. You will lead delivery teams through the design, development, testing, and implementation of application development solutions in context of Purchase (Cart/Checkout), Service (MyAccount), Customer (Authentication), and Marketing email/SMS/push marketing, Meta/Shopify/Youtube Integration, Search Engine Optimization, Community/Campaign Management, Data Feeds, Enhanced Customer Recognition and Deep Linking.
Where You'll Work
- This role is hybrid and will require you to be onsite at West Chester, PA several days per month (onsite days are predetermined and standard across the company). Job seekers must reside in one of the following states to be considered: DE, NJ, PA. Relocation assistance not available for this role.
What You'll Do
- Oversee the technical architecture and platform operations for a global, large-scale, distributed, and high-availability digital commerce and marketing platform
- Provide deep technical expertise across critical business domains, including Customer, Order through Checkout, and Digital Marketing, ensuring seamless integration of internal and third-party systems
- Lead the design, Agile development, testing, and production operations processes, ensuring continuous delivery across the entire platform lifecycle
- Address and mitigate technical and operational risks, ensuring resolution of compliance issues and security vulnerabilities
- Collaborate with external Service Providers on both development/build and operational/run standpoints to achieve strategic programs and maintain operational stability
- Improve engineering processes to reduce friction and build efficiencies across the development and operations workflow
- Manage dependencies, critical escalations, and maintain visibility of project status and technical debt for executive leadership
- Support product and portfolio management through prioritization, forecasting, and budgeting processes
- Partner with Business, Product, and Engineering teams to align technology strategy with our goals and encourage best practices for solution delivery
- Champion the use of latest technologies, including AI, within the Digital and Marketing space, promoting a product mindset to deliver capabilities on budget
- Build and mentor engineering teams, coaching staff to perform at peak efficiency and highest potential
- Maintain high-quality delivery standards and manage individual performance to ensure growth and achievement of organizational goals
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field, or certificate from an accredited association preferred, or equivalent training and experience
- Minimum 15 years Management experience in Digital/Marketing eCommerce supporting systems and applications in a global, multi-market environment
- Experience managing 3rd party vendors
- Hands-on Agile / DevOps experience
- Passion for innovation, customer-centricity and continuous learning and improvement
- Experience with AEM (Adobe Experience Manager), ForgeRock (Customer Identity and Access Management), Java Spring Framework, JSP, Microservices/SOA, Azure Cloud native functions, API Management (APIM), Load balancers (Azure/NGINX), Akamai CDN, HTML, Adobe Analytics, Monitoring, Alerting and Logging tools (Dynatrace, Kibana, Elastic), Messaging platforms (Azure Service Bus, Kafka, MQ), and SQL/NOSQL
