Sr. Manager, Sales Development

We are expanding our sales development team at Databricks and are looking for a strategic leader to manage and grow our Chicago team and help us expand our business in the region.

Reporting to the Director of Business Development, you will be a crucial member of our leadership team, leading recruiting, pipeline generation strategy, and constructive coaching for our BDRs. You will have experience driving pipeline generation, leading sales development teams, and working with sales and marketing teams. 

This role is a hybrid role, based in our Chicago office.

The impact you will have:

  • Take the primary leadership role in building and scaling an outstanding team
  • Support and shape strategy for pipeline generation for the Benelux & Nordics team
  • Manage your team’s multi-million dollar new business pipeline target and be active in coaching team members to be successful
  • Work with cross-functional regional leadership to maximise the contribution of the team
  • Maintain strong reporting, accountability, and attainment against quota
  • Analyse team performance and funnel data to identify and fix inefficiencies

What we look for:

  • Experience as a Sales Development manager, with consistent overachievement against quota
  • Experience growing a sales development team by recruiting and developing SDRs/BDRs, focused on giving people the training and support that they need to succeed
  • Experienced in sales process focused on value selling, prospecting, and opportunity qualification
  • High proficiency in leveraging sales tools, including Salesforce, Outreach/Salesloft
  • Passion for cloud, big data, and AI, with prior experience in this space highly preferred

 

Pay Range Transparency

Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents the expected salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles.  Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks anticipates utilizing the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
