Position Brand Description:
 

This position is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of Packaging lines and Device Assembly lines by minimizing service interruptions. This role includes overseeing the repair and maintenance of all process equipment as required to support the Packaging and Device (DAP) manufacturing perimeter.

Responsibilities include the supervision of a group of Technicians working rotating shifts to cover 24/7 operations. Adherence to the Maintenance Program is essential, ensuring that all preventative, corrective, and general maintenance is performed and documented as required. Additionally, this role is key in defining and supporting continuous improvement program.

This position will provide leadership for the Operations and Flow Team. Utilize the various teams and
functions described in the MSOEs to ensure that all people, processes and equipment are capable and remain in compliance with cGMP’s as well as within the Lilly.

This position requires a solid understanding of mechatronic disciplines, including maintenance and repair methodologies as well as Process Controls Network. Duties also involve supporting capital projects and ensuring operations comply with European equipment safety directives, cGMPs, EPA, and OSHA regulations. The role involves working collaboratively within a team to help the organization and staff achieve their objectives while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment. requirements.

Key Objectives/Deliverables: 
 

Promotes Safety Culture Oversees job-related equipment maintenance, health, and safety risks in maintenance and repair activities.
Must be able to recognize hazard conditions, take appropriate workplace safety measures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment to suit work environment.
Leads and mentors Technicians on shift by fostering an optimal balance between technical expertise, team cohesion, and effective communication, ensuring both operational excellence and the professional development of team members.
Provides technical expertise to assist the Technicians in trouble shooting all problems as they occur on equipment in DAP.
To accomplish this, the individual must be fully knowledgeable and understand all aspects of equipment operation.
Reviews/evaluates corrective and emergency work orders for trends and initiates Change Controls, and SOPs as applicable for all qualified systems and areas.
Supervises the maintenance Technicians in their performance and completion of all Preventive and Corrective Maintenance Activities to ensure they are addressed in an accurate and timely manner Owns the maintenance program, its definition & execution Sets up an equipment obsolescence review, defines and implements a recovery plan Establishes and manages the maintenance budget, ensuring it remains within the allocated limits.
Provides 24-hour emergency response. Manages outside contractors and ensures contractors are properly trained and the training is documented before any work is performed.
Encourages all employees under direct supervision in the planning and implementation of their assigned duties and in developing goals and objectives.
Ensures that the process is ready for inspection. Support internal and external audits.
Reviews/evaluates corrective and emergency work orders for trends and institute solutions as required.
Performs all aspects of the position by following cGMP’s and Safety/OSHA regulations.

Manage Relationships with Key Stakeholders and Customers:
 

Interacts with local and global functional areas and external suppliers. Influences, negotiates, and makes decisions through those interactions.

Staff Development and Management: 

Responsible for developing employees and future leaders with a limital experience and knowledge in pharmaceutical business Responsible for keeping the maintenance team technically up to date Coach and mentor for internal resources

Resource Management: 

Fosters an inclusive workplace and engaged workforce. Ensures effective hiring and staffing (right person for the right role).

Basic Requirements: 
 

Must have an excellent working knowledge of the process maintenance subject area, knowledge of the workforce/supplier capabilities as well as an awareness of progressive developments within the industry, and experience in a GMP environment. Must have an excellent working knowledge of various disciplines, including electrical and mechanical, and understand the contributions and functions of multiple trades allowing for optimal management of projects. Must have management experience in a similar role preferably within the maintenance or engineering sector

Education Requirements: 

Minimum of 5 years of Process Maintenance Management Support experience in a biotech, pharmaceutical or healthcare facility within a GMP environment.
