This position will be based out of the Moriah Energy Centre.
As a Sr LNG Technician, you will play an essential part in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities. Your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out both preventative and corrective maintenance of, but not limited to, pumps, compressors, and valves in an industrial environment, coupling and balancing of prime movers and their connections to process equipment, fans, belts, and bearings.
Applying PIDs and PFDs to identify process issues and perform gas handling procedures along with LOTOs (Lock Out, Tag Out).
Controlling and continuously monitoring compression and process variables at the LNG facility.
Maintaining operator qualifications and covering shifts for shiftwork operators as needed.
Effectively directing and coordinating plant operations and maintenance activities.
You are a committed expert with a demonstrated history in plant operations and maintenance. You have:
High School or equivalent experience, with preference for education and/or certification in related mechanical or electrical fields.
Relevant education and certifications may be considered toward the experience requirement.
A minimum of 7 years of experience in an industrial setting, particularly focusing on plant operations and maintenance.
Strong analytical and deductive reasoning skills, coupled with excellent oral and written communication abilities.
The capability to establish and conduct gas handling procedures and pinpoint faults with the aid of PIDs and PFDs.
Possession of a legitimate driver’s license and the capacity to use company vehicles and equipment.
This is a safety-sensitive position subject to random drug testing.
Working environment: outdoor processing area, indoor processing area, maintenance shop, and office/control room including climbing, working at heights, and various weather conditions.
Typical work schedule is Monday – Friday, with the possibility of overtime to support 24x7 operations, including holidays and weekends.
Travel up to 25% may be required.
The role involves grasping, kneeling, and lifting objects up to 100 pounds with light to moderate effort. Tasks include reaching above the shoulder, repetitive motions, typing, sitting, and standing. Visual skills needed include seeing screens, detecting color coding, and reading fine print. Hearing and working in confined spaces are also essential.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
