PAY RANGE
The Target Pay Range for this position is $138,300.00-$169,000.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $107,400.00 - $199,900.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. As a Sr. Identity & Access Management Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of safeguarding BECU’s digital ecosystem. Your expertise will ensure that every identity and access point is secure, empowering our members and teams to operate confidently. You won’t just identify issues—you’ll solve them, innovate solutions, and shape the future of IAM strategies. Your work will directly influence how we protect data, prevent breaches, and create seamless, secure experiences for everyone who interacts with BECU.
To join our dynamic team, we require candidates to be residents of WA, OR, ID, AZ, TX, GA, SC, NC, CA or VA. If you’re located in Washington state and within a reasonable driving distance from Tukwila, we are requesting that you come into our HQ on Tuesdays & Wednesdays. For those candidates that live outside the commute distance of TFC and in any of our approved remote work locations, this role will be remote. Remote or onsite, we are committed to ensuring you are fully engaged and included in our collaborative environment.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Lead IAM Strategy: Drive the evolution of our Identity & Access Management program, introducing advanced strategies for remote/hybrid workforces, and automation.
Design & Integrate Solutions: Partner with business owners to integrate IAM requirements like provisioning, de-provisioning, and user lifecycle management into our platforms.
Conduct Security Assessments: Perform technical evaluations to uncover privacy and security gaps in internal and external systems, ensuring proactive risk mitigation.
Architect IAM Systems: Create and maintain robust IAM architectures that set enterprise-wide standards for identity controls, authentication, and authorization.
Develop Strategic Roadmaps: Build forward-thinking plans for IAM systems that align with organizational goals and future-proof security posture.
Enhance Threat Visibility: Collaborate with key stakeholders to improve detection and response capabilities, ensuring threats and vulnerabilities are swiftly addressed.
Optimize Data Flow: Ensure security-relevant data is properly routed for monitoring, alerting, and reporting to strengthen our defense mechanisms.
Collaborate & Innovate: Work closely with cybersecurity and IT teams to share knowledge, improve services, and advance cloud and data center technologies.
Engage Vendors: Manage vendor relationships to ensure solutions meet our security and operational standards.
Stay Ahead of Trends: Keep up with the evolving threat landscape and emerging security technologies to continuously enhance our IAM program.
Be available on an on-call basis to respond to pending issues or problems arising during non-business hours and provide support and response.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, Business or equivalent work or educational experience required.
Minimum of seven years working with security tools and/or information technology operations required.
Minimum of five years performing deployment and configuration, maintaining operations, and content development.
Demonstrated understanding of modern Identity & Access Management concepts and best practices
Proven ability to work with system owners and users on the IAM requirements and best use of technology in place. Consult with technology and business leaders as required.
Knowledge of programming and scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python, JAVA)
Desired Qualifications:
Active CISSP, CISM or equivalent certification preferred.
Advanced degree preferred.
Knowledge of or experience in developing processes and flows that support and enhance a secure infrastructure including repair, maintenance and installation of security appliances and systems.
