The Sr. Engineer, IT/OT is responsible for the design, implementation and sustainment of the integrated IT/OT solutions that support manufacturing and ensure operational excellence. This role requires a high level of collaboration across a large stakeholder group. Technical collaboration with networking, infrastructure, and cyber security and functional collaboration with validation and compliance teams. Customer needs and a strong focus on VOC are critical as shop floor needs vary across process areas and their needs and outcomes must be prioritized. The end objective is to ensure optimized processes, system reliability, data availability and product quality. Lastly, the role requires strong project acumen ensuring delivery in alignment with business goals and compliance with industry standards.
How you will make an impact:
• Leads efforts to assess, design, and optimize IT/OT systems and processes, acting as SME in automation and digitalization.
• Manages and delivers IT/OT projects, including system integration, upgrades, and cybersecurity enhancements. Ensure interoperability between IT and OT networks while maintaining performance and security.
• Coordinates cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure successful project execution and IT/OT operation sustainment.
• Configures, tests, and validates IT/OT systems (e.g., MES, SCADA, PLC, ERP, Lab Instruments) for feature delivery and compliance.
• Maintain accurate documentation, provides training and knowledge transfer to super-users and site engineers to maximize system adoption and proficiency.
• Works with stakeholders in developing ROI based business cases for enhancements and small projects.
What you will need:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or technical field and 4 years of experience in one of the following three areas, as appropriate for the position: IT Infrastructure Network, IT Infrastructure System, and Enterprise Applications
Professional certifications (e.g., MCSE, CCNA, or VCIX/VCDX) is preferred

• Experience supporting the IT/OT Architecture, being able to support the physical and virtual components of the 5 layers: Application, Transport, Network, Data Link and Physical.
• Knowledge of control network topologies: star, DLR, redundant star, daisy chain, etc.
• Knowledge of control strategy: PC based control, PLC based control, Proprietary control.
• Knowledge of control communication protocols E.g. TCP/IP, OPC-UA, BACnet, PROFIbus, MODbus etc.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and analysts
• Adaptability to new technologies and fast-changing environments
• Interface mapping, troubleshooting, and optimization skills
• Proactive issue escalation and risk management
• Evidence of continuous professional development (e.g., Lean Six Sigma Green Belt)
• Experience with regulatory guidelines (e.g., FDA, GxP, cybersecurity standards)
• Competence in handling multiple tasks with attention to detail and minimal supervision
• Experience with SaaS solutions and vendor management
• Adherence to EHS and environmental protection standards
• Working knowledge of Agile frameworks and Project management skills (PMP certification a plus)
