Summery of the Role:
Develop and publish Design Manual specifications (Design Rule Development) for customers.
The Design Manual (DM) is one of GF’s key deliverables provided to customers. The Design Manual Engineering team is at the center point of many different teams as it coordinates the input to DM and implements them according to schedule. It also creates and supports the Design Rules based on technological, manufacturing, and business considerations.
Essential Responsibilities:
This position in Design Rule Development offers numerous opportunities for technical expertise in both semiconductor process and microelectronic products (chips), as well as coordination, organization, and communication skills. It covers many activities, in a dynamic and stimulating environment:
Create and support the Design Rules that will define and control the layout master file (GDS file) delivered by GF customers, in collaboration with Process Integration team and the DRC team.
Understand customers’ and market’s needs to provide the best trade-off between manufacturability and competitiveness.
Develop and publish design manual specifications for the customers, outlining Design Rules what can be drawn or not on the customer IP.
Enable PDK package which goes to the customers through design manual development. Coordinate the Design Manual publication scope and schedule in close collaboration with the other PDK teams.
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Work and collaborate other projects and/or assignments as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Education – Technical University degree in physics, engineering, electronics or similar
Basic principles and practices in one technical discipline.
Language fluency – English (written and verbal)
1 or 2 years of relevant experience
