 The Raytheon Connected Factory team has an immediate career-growth opportunity for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and innovative Operations Technology Engineer to join our team as an OT (Operational Technology) Integration Lead. The Connected Factory team is responsible for the development and deployment of manufacturing automation & digital solutions to maximize the operational efficiency of our factory and program customers. The OT Integration Lead is responsible for ensuring that the physical OT infrastructure for each site meets the requirements for the successful deployment of products across Raytheon. Additionally, this role is a critical support person between Connected Factory Product Owners and site teams to prepare sites for planned deployments and support throughout the implementation process from planning through execution. 

What You Will Do  

  • Standardize common IIoT devices that can be used to support connectivity across a wide portfolio of assembly and test equipment in various factory settings 
  • Create detailed bill of materials and assist local teams in planning for the deployment of CFI products into factories 
  • Provide technical guidance on the implementation of OT devices 
  • Assist in readiness preparation and testing for both product and factories prior to deployment 
  • Work with cross functional teams including Digital Technologies, Operations, and systems architecture to coordinate factory deployments

Qualifications You Must Have   

  • Typically requires BS in an Engineering field or the sciences (STEM) AND 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations/engineering, software engineering systems engineering, controls engineering, and/or automation engineering; or 5+ years with an advanced STEM degree in Engineering. 
  • Experience deploying software and/or physical hardware into a manufacturing environment 
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer  

  • Active DOD Secret Clearance 
  • Experience with Ignition, Azure DevOps, and other common OT software platforms 
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment and familiarity with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) 
  • Understanding of automation systems (PLCs, OT sensors, safety devices, and other mechatronics) deployment and integration 
  • Experience with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus/TCP, MQTT, Ethernet IP, etc.   
  • Ability to diagnose hardware and network-related issues effectively.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
