None/Not RequiredWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and improving processes for electronics production. This role requires hands-on expertise and strong communication skills to align organizational strategy with operational priorities.
This role will be worked onsite in Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico. Typically 4 days a week onsite, and 1 day remote pending business needs. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation assistance is not offered.
What You Will Do:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, design, and quality, to troubleshoot complex issues, enhance equipment up time, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Establish and standardize engineering processes, documentation, and best practices to ensure consistency and efficiency.
Ensure team alignment with business goals and customer requirements to meet project objectives.
Effectively manage and drive projects to successful completion.
Support the implementation of manufacturing initiatives and industry technologies to enhance productivity and data visibility.
Coach, mentor, and develop the performance of a multifunctional team to foster a high-performing work environment.

Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
Experience with electronics in a manufacturing environment
Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written)
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience with Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) and/or flying probe programming.
Familiarity with electronics design and related processes.
Proficiency in Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions to improve yield (e.g., fault tree analysis, 5 Why, fishbone diagrams).
Experience reading and interpreting assembly drawings, circuit card schematics, and assembly instructions.
Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and quality assurance techniques.
Ability to review production data and identify trends in manufacturing failures.
Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve production failure causes, with an emphasis on implementing solutions to prevent recurrence.
Demonstrated ability to evaluate engineering processes and provide recommendations to enhance efficiency.
