The Senior Director – Digital Delivery will provide strategic direction and oversight for the delivery of digital solutions, which will include digital product delivery, data and analytics, emerging technologies, and application decommissioning used to support the execution of Mosaic’s business strategy. As a key member of the IT Leadership Team, this person will partner with key stakeholders to provide solutions that align with the strategies and priorities of the business while minimizing cost and will contribute to the development of talent and capabilities that will bring strategic value to the organization.

What will you do?
 

Digital Delivery

Lead the development and execution of an enterprise strategy for digital product delivery, data and analytics, and application decommissioning and Mergers and Acquisitions that supports the strategic plans and priorities of the business and provides enhanced internal and external customer experiences.

  • Digital Product Delivery:

    • Implement and maintain enterprise-wide platforms and applications.

    • Ensure that the digital solutions, processes, and applications implemented are consistent in line with industry business best practice, applicable laws and policies, enterprise architecture stability and security, and enablement of seamless application service management.

    • Provide ultimate approval or rejection for all release / deployment plans.

    • Facilitate implementation approach to achieve continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automation through the DevOps pipeline.

    • Sponsor the development of standard testing strategies, processes, tools, methods, etc.

  • Data and Analytics:

    • Develop and drive the vision for data, analytics, and emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, etc.

    • Serve as a thought partner for the business and enable the use of data as a strategic asset to enhance data-driven business decision-making, internal processes, and external competitiveness within the Mosaic technology environment. 

  • Application Decommissioning:

    • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive strategy for the efficient and secure decommissioning of applications within the Mosaic IT ecosystem and ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance requirements.

Strategy Development

  • Lead the development of the enterprise digital delivery strategy and ensure integration with the overall IT and enterprise strategic plans through coordination with IT leadership and key business leaders and stakeholders.

  • Partner with Cybersecurity, Technical Services, and IT Strategy, Portfolio and Financials leaders to develop and manage technology roadmaps.

  • Define clear application business transformation vision that enables business innovation for the organization.

  • Ensure alignment between business and IT needs and objectives while focusing on best practices, awareness of emerging trends and striving towards innovative solutions that create a competitive advantage.

  • Assess technologies and implement technical architectures to increase business agility and manage complexity.

  • Define and execute forward-looking plans to develop relevant new technology skills and capabilities.

  • In partnership with IT leaders, ensure the continued adoption, maturity and continuous improvement of the Agile operating model.

  • Ensure strong delivery of managed services activities – application maintenance and development, process and application service levels, continuous improvement, and innovation. 

  • Manage technology obsolescence and vendor risks.

Stakeholder Interaction

  • Build and maintain strong strategic relationships with internal stakeholders, external strategic vendors, and IT leaders to develop a clear understanding of business needs. Ensure cost-effective delivery of IT services to meet those needs and respond with agility to changing business priorities.

  • Work and collaborate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and contacts to foster a business-oriented culture to ensure alignment between IT and the business and to directly contribute to Mosaic’s goals and objectives.

  • Strategically collaborate with business stakeholders to maintain the technology roadmap and to manage the development pipeline.

People Leadership

  • Lead, develop and coach the Digital Delivery team to continually improve the capabilities necessary to increase performance of the organization.

  • Provide timely and constructive feedback on a regular basis to ensure employees have a clear understanding of their work, roles and the business.

  • Manage performance issues when necessary.

  • Work with employees on their career development plans. 

  • Ensure a strong succession pipeline for the Digital Delivery area.

  • Foster a business-oriented culture and mindset driven by a continual service improvement approach.

  • Other job duties and projects as assigned.

IT Leadership Team: 

  • As an active member of the IT Leadership Team, provide global thought leadership to help drive technology innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Participate in the development of the IT strategic plan, annual budgeting, forecasting, and resource management activities that aligns with business strategies and priorities.

  • Ensure the continued adoption, maturity and continuous improvement of the Agile operating model.

  • Collaborate with other platform leaders on cross-platform initiatives.

  • Ensure the continuous development of the right organizational talent and capabilities to bring significant strategic value to the organization.

What do you need for this role?

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems or related area is required. Master's degree preferred.

  • 15+ years of progressively responsible Information Technology experience.

  • 10+ years of management experience in a large corporation.

  • Direct experience managing development teams from a managed service provider required.

  • Direct experience managing SAP development teams required, S/4 Hana required.

  • Ability to identify opportunities for the appropriate and cost-effective investment of financial resources in IT systems and processes, including staffing, sourcing, purchasing, and in-house development.

  • Ability to interact with internal and external business users to gather and prioritize business requirements, oversee the design of solutions that adhere to architectural standards and direction to solve business requirements, and provide guidance to project and support organizations.

  • Ability to anticipate and understand business strategies, objectives and priorities.

  • Rigorous budget management in accordance with annual IT budgets.

  • Experience transitioning and leading an organization under an Agile operating model required.

  • Must be a self-driven, motivated senior IT leader with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and good customer and executive presence.

  • Ability to adapt to a continually changing business and work environment and manage multiple, fast changing priorities.

  • Strong motivational leader that possesses a hands-on, lead by example approach with the ability to lead a fast-paced IT team of both full time and contract staff.

  • Excellent verbal, written, listening, facilitation  and presentation communication skills

  • Ability to present and discuss technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding and the “discuss-decide-support” philosophy
