What you'll be doing
As a member of CIBC’s team, the Senior Consultant, Business Systems Analysis will be responsible for providing advice and consultation for business application developments to ensure growth of Simplii Financial. The role provides technical leadership, interpreting complex information and participating in client business review sessions to influence decisions regarding the use of technology to support objectives. The Senior Consultant, Business Systems Analysis develops, recommends and facilitates activities required for the application of new technologies to support existing processes and client needs. The role provides expertise to project managers, coordinators and directors on technology functionality and utilization, utilizing a solid understanding of business dynamics. The role independently resolves a variety of ambiguous challenges with organization-wide impacts, devising new methods using strong analytic and inductive thinking.
The candidate will serve as a vital bridge between business and technology teams, working closely with product owners and managers to gather business requirements (BRD). They will collaborate with developers and vendors on solution requirements (SRD), acting as a subject matter expert throughout development and QA cycles to provide necessary support. Responsibilities include documenting both business and solution requirements or specifications for new product features and enhancements to existing products. The candidate will manage release cycles, support business and technology teams—including product owners, developers, and QA—conduct integration testing, and ensure successful production go-live. Additional duties involve assessing and recommending technology delivery models and process enhancements, reviewing QA test cases, configuring environments, and facilitating system changes required by regulatory initiatives.
