What You’ll Be Doing

As a Sr. Consultant, Analytics Engineer you will be a key member of the Enterprise Analytics and Advisory team,  working with business partners and stakeholders from various Strategic Business Units (SBUs) and Functional Groups (FGs) to provide expertise on Advanced Analytics, Data engineering, Visualizations in support of strategic initiatives. You will provide day-to-day leadership of the team and our business partners, lead Analytics solution development and manage escalations and priorities. The role will also be responsible for continuous optimization of processes, to support greater automation and effectiveness.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you’ll Succeed

  • Transformational Delivery- Deliver comprehensive and innovative Analytics solution, provide highly specialized advice and consultation to our business partners ensuring successful transformational changes.

  • Support Data and Analytics initiatives - Design and build end-to-end Analytics and AI solutions that includes data modeling, orchestration and pipeline services, data visualization,  and ML models utilizing various tools and cloud technology (Power BI, Databricks, Alteryx,  Azure and GCP). Consulting and upskilling the brother analytics and data teams on the analytics standards, best practice and usage of tools.

  • Support Data and Analytics continuous improvement - Identify opportunities to automate, streamline processes that will bring in efficiency in data reporting and analytical environments, lessen manual intervention and increase end user efficiency. Represent Enterprise Analytics Hub and consult on a wide range of enterprise initiatives related to Analytics and AI, ensuring recommendations are effective and efficient over the long term and meet the business objectives.

  • Leadership- Provide leadership in analytics rollout strategy by liaising with various lines of businesses, analytical groups, technology, change management. Lead and partner with cross functional groups fostering BI/ Analytics research and innovation culture.

  • Relationship Management- Focus on building strong relationships with internal and external partners, work collaboratively to understand their data and analytical needs.

Who You Are

  • You can demonstrate practical knowledge and hands on experience around Analytics Engineering, AI, Big Data, Cloud environment (Azure, GCP).

  • You Have 7+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks, Power BI,  Tableau, Alteryx, T-SQL. Having exposure to Python, Vertex AI is an asset.

  • You are a master storyteller. You possess presentation, interactive/analytical skills sufficient to convey both factual and conceptual information. Business analysis and consulting skills to precisely articulate & understand business challenges and goals that involve interpretation, analysis, assessment, and implementation.
