Position Summary:

The Senior Business Analyst (BA) acts as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, driving clarity and alignment throughout the project lifecycle. This role focuses on eliciting, analyzing, and documenting detailed business and technical requirements to ensure that solutions effectively meet organizational goals and user needs. This is a temporary role for 6 months.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements Gathering & Analysis

  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders, developers, and other cross-functional partners.

  • Translate business needs into clear, detailed, and testable functional and technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation such as process flows, data mappings, interface specifications, and business rules.

  • Ensure requirements are clearly understood and traceable from definition through delivery.

Solution Design & Delivery

  • Collaborate with architects and technical teams to assess solution options and ensure alignment with enterprise systems and standards.

  • Contribute to design documentation and participate in technical design discussions and reviews.

  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) by helping define test cases, reviewing test outcomes, and validating that solutions meet business needs.

  • Participate in change management, release planning, and post-implementation validation activities.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Build strong relationships with business partners to understand goals, priorities, and operational challenges.

  • Communicate technical details and constraints to non-technical audiences in a clear and structured way.

  • Facilitate alignment between business and IT teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and optimization.

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of business analysis standards and documentation templates.

  • Share knowledge and collaborate with peers to enhance overall team effectiveness.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • 5–8 years of experience as a Business Analyst, including experience with complex technical or data-driven projects.

  • Familiarity with software development life cycles (SDLC), Agile, or hybrid methodologies.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Proficiency with documentation and collaboration tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart).

  • Understanding of data flows, APIs, integrations, and enterprise system design principles.

  • Ability to translate business requirements into actionable technical specifications.

WHAT DO WE OFFER?

This is a 6 month contract role with a range of $60 - $75 hourly.
