Who You’ll Work With

The Investments function provides investment advisory and asset management services to Corebridge Financial life insurance companies and third-party clients. The Investment department’s in-house investment platform spans multiple asset classes, including structured products, leverage finance, commercial real estate debt and equity.

 

About The Role

Successful candidates likely to have experience working in either the asset management function of a loan servicer or valuation/advisory function of large agency firm. Need to demonstrate good understanding of how different property types operate, lease structures and how operating expenses work. Supplemented with strong excel and presentation skills. Experience of Argus an advantage.

Responsibilities

Management of a portfolio commercial real estate loans including but not limited to:

  • Review of loan documentation

  • Engagement, review and approval of valuations

  • Review, analysis and negotiation of loan modification/waiver requests and presentation of recommendations to investment committee if applicable.

  • Review of loans consent requests

  • Review and approval of loan utilisation requests

  • Quarterly review of each transaction, including modelling of Expected Loss

  • Provide input into underwriting assumptions for commercial real estate lending activities

  • Research specific markets and industries, prepare white papers and present results

  • Monitoring of market trends (secondary and primary)

  • Day to day interaction with borrowers, servicers, legal counsel, valuers and other market participants

  • Daily interaction with and direction of offshore analyst team supporting the business

  • Input into and support to various technology initiatives to develop the infrastructure being developed to support the activities above.

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • A-level / University graduate

  • Industry relevant certifications a positive

  • Significant post education training within the Commercial Real Estate financing industry

  • Good understanding of real estate development and finance

  • Good understanding of the CRE loan management process

  • Good understanding of CRE legal documents (financing, leases, insurance etc.)

  • Experience of UK and/or pan European property markets  

  • Experience across all major real estate asset classes

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Good team player

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to organize and prioritize

  • Client focused, ethical and accountable

  • Very good presentation and communication skills

  • Cash flow modelling of real estate transactions

Work Location

This position is based in Corebridge Financial’s London office and is subject to our hybrid working policy, which gives colleagues the benefits of working both in an office and remotely.

May include up to 25 %.
