About the team:

The Corporate Systems team at FIS is a dedicated group of professionals responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing business processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness within the organization. They are involved in various meetings and events, such as VITS 2023 and Tech Talks, and discussions about topics like AI, Agile, and Microsoft 365.

What you will be doing

  • Installs/Configure and Maintains SQL Server(2016,2017, 2019, 2022) and manages older version of SQL Server(2012, 2014)
  • Extensive Knowledege on Standalone, Failover Clustering and Always on environments.
  • Participates in logical design process of strategic projects and responsible for the physical design/implementation.
  • Creates physical database objectives following established standards and processes employed by database team.
  • Maintains excellent customer service at all times with internal and external clients.
  • Follows Change Management and Incident management, Problem Management
  • Should be Willing to work on 24/7 Rotational shifts.
  • Experience on installing, configuring, managing, monitoring and troubleshooting various version of SQL Server i.e., SQL Server 2019/2016/2012/2008R2/ in Production, Test, Development and Clustered Environments.
  • Experience in upgrading SQL Server software to new versions and applying service packs and hotfixes.
  • Experience in Database Backup (Full, Differential  and Transaction Backup) and Recovery procedure
  • Analyzing and finding performance issues like query tuning, enabling appropriate flags to solve deadlocks/long running queries and Using Performance Monitor/Profiler to identify the root causes for performance issues to fix the issue.
  • Experience in managing the SSIS, SSRS services in the production cluster & non cluster environment.
  • Experience in providing HA solutions like mirroring, Log shipping, replication, clustering & ALWAYSON.
  • Experience in Migration activities between datacenters.

What you bring

  • 7 – 10 years relative experience as an SQL DBA
  • Good knowledge in SQL installations (SQL Server 2016, 2019), Database creation and maintenance
  • Good  Knowledge on Database Administration activities (like Backup, Recovery, High availability Solutions and Replication)
  • Good Troubleshooting and problem management skills.
  • Good Knowledge on SQL Stored Procedures,
  • Should have knowledge on SQL Server Architecture.
  •  Should be a  good team player and ready to work with other team members to resolve issues
  • Should be Willing to provide Full shift/Oncall support during weekends on rotation.
  •  Should be Willing to learn new technologies
  • Good Knowledge in TSQL Scripting, Writing Stored Procedures, Performance Tuning of Queries and Power Shell scripting.
  • Knowledge on Azure SQL , PAAS
  • Good experience in T-SQL, Azure, Cloud technologies will be an added advantage.
