Reporting to the Leader, Sponsorship & Events Marketing, you’ll support the execution of our sponsorship strategy, product marketing campaigns, and corporate communication initiatives. You’ll gain hands-on experience in delivering best-in-class sponsorship activations and events that drive brand awareness and lead generation, showcasing Interac as an innovative leader in Canada.
You’ll contribute your creativity, storytelling skills, and strategic thinking to support the broader Marketing and Communications team in achieving business objectives.
You’ll be responsible for:
Assist the Sponsorship & Events team with planning, coordinating, and executing key sponsorship activations and client engagement initiatives.
Support project management tasks, event logistics, and post-event reporting to ensure seamless delivery and performance tracking.
Manage attendee communications and registration tracking.
Coordinate promotional item logistics, including inventory management and on-site distribution.
Attend events (where applicable) to support on-site execution and capture social content.
Maintain and update the events calendar, intake forms, and sponsorship deliverables.
Update workback schedules using Asana to ensure timely task execution.
Assist with vendor communications and preparation of assets for activations.
Contribute to post-event wrap reports, including performance metrics and stakeholder feedback.
You bring:
Currently completing an undergraduate degree from a creditable Canadian institution with a focus on events, public relations, communications, marketing, journalism media studies or similar fields.
Strong writing skills with the ability to craft compelling content for digital channels (e.g. website, newsroom, intranet, social media, email).
A creative mindset with a passion for storytelling and the ability to identify and execute new ideas.
Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines, with flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities.
Exposure to sponsorships, events, communications, and product marketing.
Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation.
A collaborative spirit and natural relationship builder.
Strong event coordination and organizational skills.
Confidence in communicating detailed information in an engaging and impactful way.
Critical thinking skills and a keen eye for detail.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and a track record of driving continuous improvement.
Although not required, you have some familiarity or previous experience with the following:
Project management (Asana, Microsoft Suite)
Graphic design (Canva, Adobe Photoshop, In Design, Web-based apps)
Video editing or production (Social, web)
Workstyle: Hybrid (3 days on-site)
