General Description:
Under general supervision, will evaluate, diagnose and recommend a treatment plan for communication disorders of speech and language.
Essential Responsibilities:

Upon physician referral, performs evaluations of speech, hearing and swallowing difficulties, makes a preliminary diagnosis and develops treatment plans
Determines the need for individual or group therapy on each client
Documents client’s progress
Assists students in clinical rotations in meeting objectives
General Responsibilities:
Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology.
Experience: 0-3 years of experience.
License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: Licensed by the Oklahoma State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of the normal development of speech, language and hearing. Ability to perform diagnostic tests for communication disorders and formulates a treatment plan. Must be able to interact in a patient, encouraging manner with clients to understand their communication needs and assist them in achieving the program goals specific to them. Good interpersonal skills with customers, co-workers and clients. Must be able to display patience when client’s frustration level is high.
