Summary of Job Duties:

The Part Time Para Professional, provides clerical services to the Adult Education Director. Works under general supervision and handles confidential information and frequent contact with outside agencies, and the general public.

MAJOR REPONSIBILITES AND DUTIES:
1. Accurately maintain and update files, manuals, handbooks, and logs as assigned.
2. Assist in ordering, storing, and distributing supplies and equipment and the management of fixed assets of the department.
3. Maintain an accurate knowledge base and comply with state, and program policies and regulations concerning primary job functions.
4. Schedule meetings and appointments and maintain calendar of events for assigned administrator of supervisor.
5. Prepare correspondence, forms and reports as assigned by Adult Education Director.
6. Be prepared to take initiative and work independently to accomplish the goals and needs of the Adult Education Director.
7. Maintain an accurate knowledge base and comply with state, and local policies, and regulations concerning primary job functions.
8. Maintain accurate administrative records and prepare required reports and other related programs.
9. Perform all intake and orientation of new students in the Adult Education Program.
10. Administer intake examination and post-test for all students (TABE)
11. Register students for the GED Ready Test and the GED Examination. Administer the Ready Test
12. Input LACES attendance and test data submitted by teachers/administrators.
13. Maintain professional behavior, appearance, and work ethic to present the School in a positive manner at all times.
14. Articulate a positive image of the university and university personnel.
15. Demonstrate effective customer service strategies to all LEA patrons.
16. Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED, plus two years of experience in the administrative field. Associate degree preferred.
