Sourcing Manager - Global Indirect Procurement

The Indirect Procurement team is on an exciting transformational journey with the aim to capture a large and unreleased potential by increasing the maturity and proactivity of the Global Indirect Procurement function. As such, we are looking for a Sourcing Manager to develop and deliver strategic and tactical procurement to create significant bottom-line results within GN.

The team you will be part of

As our Sourcing Manager, you will be part of the Global Indirect Procurement organization, reporting to Senior Category Manager, Niclas Hammarling, and be based at our headquarters in Ballerup, Denmark. Your daily work involves cooperation with your stakeholders across functions and business units, and some international travel should be expected.

What will you be doing?

As our new Sourcing Manager your well-assorted toolbox and experience enables you to deliver GN’s procurement agenda and to deliver both strategic and financial impact.

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Sourcing Manager to join our team. As Sourcing Manager, you will develop and execute sourcing strategies across assigned categories to deliver cost savings, innovation, and supplier value. In your role, you will manage end-to-end sourcing projects — from market analysis, RFx execution, supplier evaluation and negotiation to contract award. You will work in close collaboration with Category Managers and business stakeholders — combining commercial acumen with strategic thinking.

Your contribution is appreciated, and you will work with:

  • You are able to develop and mature project management processes to ensure a consistent approach towards delivering impact
  • You will collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders in across functions and regions to align sourcing initiatives with business needs
  • You are able to assess opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
  • You are adept in sourcing and negotiating contracts with suppliers that deliver cost savings and other benefits to the company
  • You are able to implement initiatives that optimize demand and reduces costs

To thrive in the role, we imagine that you have:

  • A relevant master’s degree, or a bachelor’s degree with several years of relevant work experience
  • Extensive sourcing skills – solid experience leading end-to-end sourcing projects, from opportunity assessment and RFP execution to negotiation and contracting
  • Experience working with Project Management within Procurement
  • A personal motivation and curiosity and you should be self-motivated and able to manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and compliance
  • You should take initiative and be able to act without being prompted and have the will to grow in your role
  • A rational approach to thinking, where you should be able to analyze data, make informed decisions, and effectively manage your own tasks
  • You should be able to solve problems in a practical and effective manner
  • A global mindset where you should be able to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures

Furthermore, we expect that you are an effective communicator, who Listen, Challenge and Transform. You are an experienced and strategic thinker able to “translate” business needs into actions. Your interpersonal skills are well-developed, you prioritize ethical practices, and you engage collaboratively to enhance what is best for the GN Group.
