We are seeking a highly skilled and collaborative Solutions Architect to support client discovery, scoping, and proposal development for RSM’s managed services. This manager-level role will work across multiple industries and service lines to design scalable, compliant, and optimized solutions that meet client needs and align with RSM’s strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead solution design for multi-service outsourcing engagements, including Finance as a Service (FaaS), Human Resources Outsourcing (HRO), Risk Consulting, and Managed IT Services (MITS).
- Facilitate client discovery sessions to understand business needs, operational pain points, and strategic goals.
- Translate client requirements into integrated service delivery models that align with RSM’s managed services capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional pursuit teams—including commercial architects, pricing analysts, and service line leaders—to support all presales activities from initial discovery through scoping, proposal development, and Statement of Work (SOW) review.
- Develop solution architecture artifacts including service maps, process flows, and technology integration plans.
- Ensure solutions comply with regulatory frameworks (SOX, GAAP, GDPR, HIPAA) and industry-specific standards.
- Support internal deal governance processes including intake, review, and approval through established compliance and approval systems.
- Contribute to sales enablement by creating reusable templates, client-facing materials, and internal training content.
- Participate in strategic account planning and client onboarding to ensure solution integrity and delivery readiness.
- Maintain awareness of emerging technologies, automation opportunities, and industry trends to inform solution innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in solution architecture, consulting, or managed services delivery within a professional services or outsourcing environment.
- Proven experience designing and implementing multi-service outsourcing solutions across finance, HR, risk, and IT.
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman) and service management methodologies (ITIL, COBIT).
- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and enterprise applications (NetSuite, Workday, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple pursuits and concurrent solutioning efforts.
Desired Skills
- Working knowledge of finance and accounting operations, including FaaS, procure-to-pay, and payroll outsourcing.
- Understanding of HR systems, talent management platforms, and workforce analytics.
- Familiarity with risk management frameworks, internal audit processes, and cybersecurity standards.
- Experience with pricing models, margin forecasting, and commercial architecture tools.
- Ability to synthesize complex requirements into clear, actionable solution designs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on client outcomes and value realization.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with subject matter experts, partners, and business stakeholders across different service lines within the firm.
- Strong client-facing communication skills, including the ability to present solutions, support discussions, and manage expectations with line-of-business as well as executive-level stakeholders.
- Demonstrated self-motivation and self-directed work ethic, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous learning.
- Actionable curiosity and hands-on experience leveraging AI-enabled tools and platforms to enhance personal productivity and workflows.
