Job Description Summary:

As a QA Engineer, you will join an agile team composed of Software and QA Engineers located in Vilnius and other international locations. This team is responsible for developing and maintaining Rocket NoSQL DBMS systems and tools.

In this role, you will ensure the quality our database products: UniVerse, UniData. QA Engineers are expected to design and execute test cases, as well as automate manual tests to maintain high product standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Independently design test cases for moderately complex features using diverse testing methodologies.
Automate test cases using Shell, MV BASIC, or Python, and integrate them into the regression test suite.
Execute regression test suites, quickly identify key issues, and create detailed bug reports.
Document issues thoroughly, including clear test steps and results.
Collaborate effectively within the team and consult with development and support engineers to resolve issues.
Act as a subject matter expert for specific product components, guiding other QA engineers in testing strategies and execution within those areas.

Required Qualifications:

Proficiency in programming in one or more languages , preferably Python or Shell.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong learning capability and ability to quickly grasp complex components and existing regression test suites.
3+ years of work experience in automated software testing.
3+ years of experience working in QA preferably in an Agile team environment.
Solid understanding of QA methodologies.
Experience with issue tracking and test case management systems. Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and interpersonal. Ability to collaborate professionally across all levels of the organization and across geographies.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with MultiValue databases.
Strong understanding of core database concepts, including tables, indexes, transactions, encryption, audit logging, backup and recovery, replication, ODBC connectivity, etc.
Advanced proficiency with Linux commands.
Experience using the TestComplete automation tool.
Familiarity with Pytest.
Work experience in an Agile environment (JIRA/Confluence experience is a plus).

Compensation:

The Salary for this position ranges from 39,270 to 72,930 Eur anually before taxes with an additional annual bonus based on individual and company performance. Salary will depend on assessment of candidate’s competencies, experience and skills relevant to job requirements.
