What you'll do at Jamf:

The Software Engineer in Test II at Jamf will participate in agile delivery events providing tests and the framework to assist in delivering software with high quality and reliability to our customers. They'll work closely with the agile team to break down problems and apply the appropriate practices to test our product.

The Software Engineer in Test ll dives in and develop a depth of knowledge around the area of the product. They'll use this knowledge to mentor and coach others.

They will collaborate with other engineers, product management and leadership to understand the team's prioritiesand how those help us solve company-wide problems. They'll help the team achieve these priorities all while keeping a positive attitude.

 

This role if offered as remote in Minneapolis, MN and Eau Claire, WI. You may be required to work periodically at a Jamf office or collaborative work location with other Jamf employees in your area for certain events or moments that matter. We are only able to accept applications for those based in either of these locations.

 

What you can expect to do in this role:

  • Build and maintain the framework that supports further automation of 
  • Develop and execute test case scenarios for new or evolving features across web and OS X applications.
  • Assists development team to build and support the automation of unit, functional, integration and systems testing.
  • Break down customer problems into work you and the team can execute 
  • Independently completes tasks from start to finish with high 
  • Use your knowledge of the product to mentor 
  • Use your knowledge of testing and quality best practices to ask the right questions, solve problems and build great software.
  • Clearly communicate technical concepts with others in the organization (Technical Communication, Support, Product, and Cloud).
  • When you don't know the solution, seek out the appropriate people in the organization for advice.
  • Mentor and train junior engineers on the

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience testing with enterprise grade software with understanding of testing and quality assurance processes. (Required)
  • Minimum of 3 years of specialized experience in developing automated test suites for newly developed platform services and microservices architectures. (Required)
  • Proficiency with modern testing frameworks suitable for platform services (REST Assured, Postman/Newman or similar) (Required)
  • Experience with containerized testing environments (Docker, Kubernetes) (Required)
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline integration for automated testing of new service deployments (Required)
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools for test validation. (Required)
  • Hands-on experience with AI-driven coding assistants like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, others to enhance development productivity.
  • Strong communication 
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with co-workers in a results driven 
  • Good Listening 
  • Ability to engage with and establish trust and rapport with all levels of the 
  • Solution focused ability working collaboratively in a fast-paced
  • 2 year / Associates (Required)
  • 4 year / Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
  • A combination of relevant experience and education may be considered

The below annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
