About the team: 

Reporting into the Software Engineering Manager, you will be a pivotal member of the UK technology team, working with the business to perform design and software development assignments in an Agile environment while using the latest ways of working, including pair-programming, TDD, TBD, as well as following the SOLID principles. 

About the role:      

LexisNexis UK is looking for a talented Full Stack .NET Software Engineer to work on a few new build products for our leading Legal Search and Guidance Library Platform. This role will help modernize our existing products as well as work on our new, soon to be launched next-gen Legal Library.  

      

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop a good understanding of the company's products and its technical stack. 

  • Proactively use test and deployment automation to assure quality of delivered software. 

  • Engaging with product managers and wider stakeholders to ensure we continue to develop features of value for customers and business. 

  • Drive and advocate continuous professional development throughout the team. 

  • Drive to achieve a high level of competency and ability across a varied technical toolset, in accordance with the systems in use. 

  • Contribute to the team using the correct code quality and performance metrics. 

  • Adapt to demands quickly, fixing bugs or looking at pipeline issues.  

 

Requirements: 

  • Recent proven experience in C# , .NET. 

  • Experience developing web applications or services (e.g. Web API, ASP.NET MVC, etc.). 

  •  Experience with front-end web technologies, especially JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, in recent work history. (If you have worked with React/ Angular, that would be a massive advantage). 

  •  Demonstratable experience with automated testing.  

  •  Experience with Git or other source code management tools. 

  •  A desire to learn - evidence of self-improvement, either on the job or personally; training/certificates; extra-curricular activities such as attending conferences, GitHub links to projects, etc. 

  • Knowledge of software build and deployment processes, such as a CI/CD tool, Infrastructure as Code, or packaging, would be an advantage.
