HP Barcelona develops leading-edge 3D printers for a wide range of markets worldwide. We are seeking a proactive, hands-on, and technically driven intern with a genuine interest in technology and innovation to join our multidisciplinary R&D team focused on 3D printing model processing. Objective:
Contribute to the development of tools that enable analysis and management of 3D data models to be printed, including performance evaluation, complexity assessment, and detection of mesh errors.
Context:
The 3D Printing Pipeline area benefits from additional support in performance testing, optimization, and exploration of hardware acceleration technologies.
Responsibilities
Analyze and identify firmware pipeline components in the current 3D printing front-end and back-end workflows.
Understand dependencies with the firmware development environment and evaluate alternatives for building components in a host environment.
Develop a Python framework that allows compilation and execution of 3D pipeline components offline, enabling rapid prototyping and R&D experimentation.
Define and execute performance analyses of the data pipeline, identifying potential hardware acceleration technologies (e.g., GPU).
Requirements
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
Strong programming skills in C++ and/or Python.
Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a team.
Self-organized, responsible, and able to manage tasks independently.
Adaptability to work in a dynamic, evolving environment.
Fluency in English.
