Northrop Grumman Advanced Weapons has an opening for a Software Configuration Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. A qualified candidate will help develop, enforce, and maintain Software Configuration Management (SCM) processes on large-scale programs in accordance with the Organization’s Standard Software Process (OSSP) and contractual requirements. The analyst will also support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed and externally purchased commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software products. This position will be100% on site in Northridge, CA.

 As an integral part of our multi-discipline engineering team in Advanced Weapons, you will be on the forefront of developing next generation solutions to protect technology for our nation’s warfighters. The ideal candidate will be supporting one of our programs for defining and architecting a secured missile weapon system. This position will require close collaboration with team members of other projects within the organization for security architecture designs as well as external partners and customers.

An SCM Analyst systematically manages, organizes, and controls changes in software products throughout their development lifecycle. SCM ensures that software systems remain consistent, reliable, and maintainable by tracking and managing changes to various software components. Ensures implementation of SCM, code quality, and code coverage with automated testing for Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines on applicable programs.

Roles and Responsibilities:

·       Coordinate and generate configured builds for test and delivery.

·       Communicate issues and risks pertaining to software changes, solutions, and releases.

·       Facilitator and scribe for software change control board meetings, create build and delivery documentation, and implement assigned process improvement activities.

·       Establish and implement procedures to coordinate changes to program data and products.

·       Support internal and external customer audits.

·       Ability to multi-task and complete tasks with a sense of urgency.

·       Software CM analysts work in an office environment and traditionally work during normal business hours; however occasional late shifts or on-call remote work may be requested.

·       Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are essential.

Basic Qualifications for a Software Configuration Analyst:

·       A Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of experience; or 0 years of experience with a Master's degree.

·       Direct experience in software configuration management

·       Experience with version control software

·       Experience with coordinating/creating configured software builds for test and delivery

·       Ability to obtain an Active DOD secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

·       Experience with Agile software development

·       Active DOD secret clearance

·       Excellent technical writing and team building skills

·       Experience with Software CM branching strategies & tagging, pull requests, merges, and build versioning

·       Experience with Jira, Jenkins and Git Version Control Software

Primary Level Salary Range: $81,300.00 - $121,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
