Job Description
The PCB Pune Campus is a major Campus for the Power Control Business (PCB) of Rockwell Automation. This campus is focused on software development, and includes software, embedded software (firmware), and test engineering. As the Software Center Manager PCB, you will be responsible for the strategic leadership and day to day operation of this development centre. You will report to the Director, Engineering and have a hybrid schedule working in Pune, India.
SCOPE OF POSITION
This is a significant leadership position in the PCB business with impact on culture, strategic direction, and tactical performance. In this role, you should be well in tune with modern development methods as well as the regional talent ecosystem, including talent acquisition channels, identifying setup needs, government regulations, licenses and other aspects that are necessary for a successful campus for Rockwell Automation. You will be responsible for growing and maintaining a highly capable and motivated Development organization, including recruiting and developing leaders and key talent at a fast pace. The organization should exhibit Rockwell Automation values, ethics, culture and have the ingredients necessary to attract and grow talent in a competitive market. You will apply PCB processes, practices, and reporting for development, testing, and project management. You will foster a climate of diversity and teamwork, rewarding and recognizing high performance with open, honest communication that supports Rockwell Automation values. You will be responsible for ensuring the alignment of HR, financial, and IT operations in the location with regional processes/practices. You will work with other managers and directors, both within region and globally. You are responsible for the development of high quality products in a timely, efficient and cost effective manner using modern and next generation tools, techniques, and leadership fundamentals.

- You will help to develop strategies for development execution supporting the campus aligned with the global organization.
- You will manage communication, leadership, and administrative responsibilities
- You will understand team structure for a software/firmware/hardware organization and build teams with appropriate skill mixes in play
- You will supervise effective working of all campus related activities and coordinate with global teams
- You will maintain a safe, transparent environment for employees to work and innovate
- You will ensure compliance to local laws and policies
- You will have wide-ranging management experience.
- You will manage and lead recruitment activities, in-depth knowledge of talent acquisition approaches
- You will establish operational objectives and work plans and delegates assignments to subordinate managers.
- You will be involved in developing, modifying and executing company policies that affect immediate operations and may also have company-wide effect.
- You regularly interact with senior management and executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers.
- You are able to function effectively in a complicated, global, matrixed organization.
- You have a proven track record of driving excellent performance even in challenging and fast paced environments.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: University Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or equivalent required. Master’s in business administration is desirable.
- EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: You possess a minimum of 15+ years’ experience in a complex Product Development organization with both hardware and software exposure, with minimum of 8 years’ experience in establishing and building teams.
- Experience should include significant background in setup and management of with large scale system development projects.
- Experience in industrial automation highly desired.
