As our Social Media Strategist, you’ll lead social media strategy and execution across multiple platforms, produce compelling multimedia content including photography and videography, produce visual editorial content and manage digital interns while driving engagement and advancing Moody’s brand. You will work in a creative, fast-paced environment at a top-tier university as you lead projects that make a real impact on student engagement and college visibility.
Social Media & Digital Content
Collaborate with the marketing communications team to conceptualize, create, and distribute audience-focused social media and digital storytelling content that promotes Moody College’s brand, impact, programs, and events.
Develop and leverage photography, video, memes, and dynamic storytelling to enhance college communication channels.
Lead and mentor digital engagement interns, guiding production and curation of written, visual, and multimedia content aligned with strategic goals.
Manage editorial calendars and assignments for Moody College and designated department/program channels.
Ensure a steady flow of innovative, high-quality content that meets key performance metrics for reach, engagement, and shareability.
Video Production
Produce compelling video content for marketing, storytelling, and events.
Handle all aspects of production: storyboarding, interviewing, filming, editing, and delivering projects aligned with defined goals.
Executive Social Media
Manage the dean’s social media presence, including editorial calendar creation, content development, and audience engagement across platforms.
Editorial & Digital Projects
Contribute story ideas and assist with planning and development of digital communications projects.
Brand Alignment & Departmental Support
Develop guidelines and best practices to maintain consistent messaging, brand voice, and content accuracy across all channels.
Provide guidance and coordination to departments, centers, and institutes on social and digital marketing efforts.
Ensure brand consistency and strategic alignment across all Moody College channels.
Amplify and promote content to support college-wide priorities.
Digital Monitors
Create and manage messaging and visual style for college digital monitors.
Channel Management & Analytics
Oversee and grow the college’s official social media channels by staying current with trends and technologies.
Collect and analyze performance data to inform strategy and provide metrics-based recommendations for improved visibility and reach.
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree with major coursework in public relations, journalism, communications, marketing or related field.
Four or more years managing social media and digital content for a brand or organization. Proven ability to creating engaging and evolving social media content.
Experience planning or creating full range of story-telling methods with strong writing and storytelling skills.
Proven expertise in photography and producing video and multimedia content (storyboarding, filming, editing).
Skilled at disseminating branded content in appropriate channels for optimum exposure and engagement with key audiences.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously combined with attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Proficiency in social media platforms and analytics tools.
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools.
Creative thinker with an eye for design and detail.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Seven years of relevant experience.
Moody College graduate.
Familiarity with and passion for higher education and/or The University of Texas.
$75,000 + depending on qualifications
