We seek a skilled Snowflake and Python Developer to join our team at a leading broker dealer in the capital markets. This role focuses on maintaining and enhancing our data warehouse, which stores critical trade data used for regulatory reporting, financial reporting, risk management, and operational trade support. The developer will leverage Snowflake's cloud data platform and Python programming to ensure data integrity, optimize performance, and support business intelligence initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes using Snowflake and Python.
- Ensure data quality and integrity within the trade data warehouse.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including regulatory, finance, risk, and operations to meet reporting requirements.
- Optimize Snowflake queries and data models for performance and scalability.
- Automate data processing tasks and generate reports using Python scripts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues impacting regulatory and financial reporting.
- Participate in data governance and security initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience with Snowflake data warehousing.
- 3+ years of experience with Python programming, including libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and SQLAlchemy.
- Strong SQL skills for querying and manipulating data; Oracle or SQL Server development skills desired.
- Experience in ETL processes, data pipeline development, and data warehousing design using Kimball Methodologies.
- CI/CD experience using GitHub and Git Actions, Team City, or SDA.
- Understanding of Veracode scans and data security best practices.
- Control M experience for scheduling batches.
- Experience working within a large database development project team.
- Knowledge of capital markets, financial data, and regulatory requirements (e.g., SEC, FINRA).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in broker dealer or financial services environment.
- Certifications in Snowflake or AWS data services.
- Knowledge of additional programming languages such as SQL, Java, or Scala.
- Experience with BI tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Understanding of risk management and compliance frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand financial products and how they are reported by Product Control and Finance departments within an investment bank.
- Prior experience supporting internal management reporting, particularly trading data.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $103K - $120K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
