[What the role is]

About the Role:

As the Senior Manager/Manager (TradeTrust), the incumbent shall play a key role in driving the next phase of Singapore’s cross border digital trade transformation. He/she shall lead Government-to-Government (G2G) and commercial pilot projects with international partners , manage key accounts such as carriers, digital trade platforms, and financial institutions, and most importantly, drive these projects beyond trials into sustainable, production-level use cases across various trade lanes.

[What you will be working on]

Project Management (G2G and Commercial)

  • Lead and manage end-to-end execution of TradeTrust projects with local/foreign government agencies, international organisations, and industry partners.

  • Develop project charters, implementation roadmaps, and measurable outcomes to demonstrate impact and scalability.

  • Coordinate technical, legal and policy work streams with internal IMDA teams, partner agencies, and technology providers.

  • Drive pilots into long-term, repeatable production use cases, ensuring adoption becomes part of regular trade operations.

  • Identify opportunities to expand successful models across new trade lanes, sectors, or partner economies.

  • Track project progress, document lessons learned, and report outcomes to senior management and inter-agency committees.

Stakeholder and Account Management

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key ecosystem players – including shipping carriers, ports, trade platforms, banks and standards bodies.

  • Serve as the main liaison for strategic partners, ensuring alignment on objectives, timelines and deliverables.

  • Identify integration and co-development opportunities that strengthen partner commitment to the TradeTrust framework.

  • Support onboarding and enablement activities for new partners through playbooks, workshops and technical coordination.

Ecosystem Development and International Engagement

  • Support the design and rollout of new cross-border digital trade corridors and interoperability initiatives

  • Develop proposals, concept notes, and bilateral MOUs to formalise international cooperation.

  • Represent IMDA in international forums, industry conferences, and working groups on digital trade standards and interoperability.

  • Advocate for the adoption of TradeTrust as part of national or regional trade digitalisation agendas.

Policy & Insights Development

  • Collaborate with internal IMDA divisions and technical teams to address regulatory or standards gaps and propose harmonisation measures.

  • Analyse feedback from industry stakeholders to refine IMDA’s TradeTrust strategy and adoption roadmap.

  • Contribute to the development of insights, white papers, and thought leadership materials to showcase Singapore’s role in shaping the future of trusted digital trade.

[What we are looking for]

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Trade, Economics, Public Policy, Supply Chain or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in trade facilitation, logistics, international partnerships, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Proven experience managing multi-stakeholder, cross border projects or public-private collaborations.
  • Familiarity with digital trade platforms, electronic Bills of Lading (eBL) or digital identity and trust frameworks (e.g. MLETR, W3C Verifiable Credentials) will be advantageous. 
  • Excellent project management, stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Comfortable navigating complex technical and policy discussions with diverse partners across public and private sectors. 
  • Strategic thinker with strong execution capabilities and an ability to convert pilot projects into sustained, real-world implementations
