How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
Site safety: Promoting the safety within the company; meeting or exceeding the company’s safety standards; participate in safety audits.
Project management: Support the execution of the project
Support the site Sub-contract department by providing technical support (such as scope of work) to address potential claims or change orders
Manage a log of pending actions / open topics (from minutes)
Keep record of construction improvement and value engineering to capitalize for future projects.
Implementing Document Control practices and tools (Alair, G-drive) for technical project documents
Support the engineering manager or project manager on specific tasks as requested
Site Engineering: Act as the site engineering representative
Coordinate the assigned engineering resources, either with local and/or with remote international team members and peers; managing interfaces between disciplines as well as engineering contractors.
Resolve Technical Queries: manage all on-site technical problem-solving; this includes submitting and resolving Requests for Information (RFIs) with the engineering design team for any discrepancies, interferences, or constructability issues.
Ensure the construction and commissioning compliancy with Air Liquide project documentation, Air Liquide standards and codes
Offer optimization suggestion as needed
Site Procurement: Act as the site procurement representative
Support the procurement tasks and its associated bid process for the site required sourcing
Prepare the Technical Requisition Summary for procurement and leading the technical clarifications with material/equipment suppliers
Support the procurement team in expediting the Vendor Documentation Records and providing technical support and review during the manufacturing period
Support the logistics effort to ensure smooth site arrival and associated material inspection at site
Construction & Commissioning: Support the construction activities
Support the site Quality department in the site inspection and non-conformity processing
Prepare the weekly contractor meetings and capture the minutes of meeting
Areas of Supervisory Responsibility
Supervise engineering and procurement activities
● B.S. degree in Engineering required (Chemical or Mechanical preferred)
● M.S. degree preferred
● 3-5 years of experience in Civil, Piping, E&I or Process Engineering role related Industrial Design or in plant operations; Basic knowledge of Engineering in all disciplines and process
● Experience in Project Management and Customer relationships
● Site experience (Construction or Commissioning)
● Strong analytical skills and solution oriented required
● Demonstrate a proactive approach and consistently positive demeanor.
● Proficient with Google workspace and MS Office
● Ability to travel to various job sites on short notice and to relocate to site
● Second language preferred
