At Stagecoach Bluebird, we operate recognisable and reliable coach and bus services across Aberdeenshire, and we’re looking for people with the right attitude and willingness to learn, to join our growing team at this exciting time.

We are looking for a depot shunter to fuel, clean and park our buses, and perform other maintenance tasks within the depot.

The Role:

• 39 hours per week and £12.60 per hour
• You’ll be a key member of our staff maintaining our fleet of Alexander-Dennis, Volvo and Optare models
• Fuelling, washing and safe parking of our fleet
• Accurately completing reports of coolant/oil/fuel issues
• Flexibility to provide relief cover to the backshift shunters in other Aberdeenshire depots as and when necessary
• Full compliance with Stagecoach group health and safety procedures

Hours of work will be 39 hours per week, working on a 5 over 7 shift pattern, with overtime opportunities

About you:

The successful candidate will:

• Have a positive attitude and be flexible towards meeting the needs of the business
• Be flexible to the requirements of the business and committed, as well as a positive work ethic
• Have a willingness to take pride in their role and be satisfied with a good day’s work
• Full car licence
• PSV licence desirable, and upon satisfactory completion of a probationary period the successful candidate will be considered for their PSV licence by the company
• Subject to a company medical
