What You'll Get to Do:
The role of a Shipping Receiving Coordinator is crucial in ensuring the smooth flow of goods from one point to another within the company's supply chain.
One of the key responsibilities of a Shipping Receiving Coordinator is to create shipments using SAP and the Ryder Defense Transportation Management Systems (DTMS) system.
This involves creating shipping documents, inputting the necessary information such as item details, quantities, and shipping addresses to facilitate the transportation process.
Additionally, Shipping Receiving Coordinators are tasked with negotiating shipping rates with various carriers to secure the most cost-effective and efficient transportation options for the company.
