Role Overview
The Settlements team plays a critical role in supporting multiple Fixed Income and Cash Equity broking desks across EMEA. We manage a variety of middle-office settlement tasks to ensure timely and accurate trade matching within a controlled environment.
Our team settles principal bond, equity, and money market instruments (including CDs, Commercial Paper, and notes) via Euroclear and across 30+ domestic markets using an agent bank network (BNY Mellon, BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank, etc.). As a matched principal business (buys and sells are exactly matched), we operate without a trading position or portfolio, minimizing risk exposure. The team also handles stock loan processing, corporate actions (such as coupon and dividend payments), and nostro/depot reconciliations.
We aim to ensure all trades are matched and settled on time, with zero cost to the company, given the large trade sizes and associated risks. While most team members work 08:00–17:00, we operate a limited shift rota to provide coverage from 07:00 to 20:00 for US settlements.
